Changes...

Well It's fathers day and Chad is gone again....sad... But we celebrated it yesterday he got to have his favorite dinner which is mashed potatoes, gravy, chicken, peas, and rice. He said he enjoyed himself we watch a movie and just hung around the house enjoying one anothers company... Atazia lost her first tooth she was so excited...IT's the bottom tooth...

And now for the good news.... Chad was offered a job in North Dakota, on the ND/MT border close to Williston ND, for a water tanker company called ITL Tanklines he would be hauling water to the oil rigs... He has decided to take it He starts July 4th. So yes that means that we will be moving to ND or MT. We are thinking either Billings MT or Bismarck ND because there is a temple and wards. It will be a bit of a drive for him to come home but the good thing is that he only works two weeks a month and is off two weeks a month so we will see him much much more and that will give him more time to finish his schooling... We are excited but a bit nervous too.... We will be moving the last week in July or first of August.. When ever Chad can find us a place up there... It's strange how life can change so quickly...life is good take care until next time.

June 15th

"It's my birthday I can cry if I want too, cry if I want too, you'd cry too if it happened to you!"

Do you remember that song...Well that's about all I can remember from it... Although It was my 30th birthday It wasn't traumatic like it has been for so many friends and family that hit that age.. I've been excited to turn 30 for a long time and.... Now I am...And you know what I still feel like I'm 20 so no big deal...

My kids brought me Breakfast in BED my life almost ended right then because of the shock it brought.... lol no it was sweet and I was thankful...

I thought since now that I'm 30 I'd share 30 things about me....

1. Favorite color? - Forest green (always has been and I think it will forever be)

2. What do you like to do on a rainy day? - Watch the rain fall down while snuggled up in a warm blanket drinking something warm...

4. What have you learned the most in the last 10 yrs? - Hum...That ones tough! I've learned so much how do I pick one...... well maybe it's to let things go to relax and just let things happen and move forward no mater what...

5. What is the silliest quark you have? - Well I think that one depends on who you ask but I think it is that I make quiet squeaks and clicks with my tongue when I'm concentrating..

6. If you could do over what would you do? - Wow...hum...For myself I would have never gone on birth control when I got married then it wouldn't have taken me ten years to get my body back to normal again...but as a couple I'd say we would have never ever left the massage therapy industry because it's taken so long to get back into it again...

7.What is your favorite thing about you? - My favorite thing is that I love to learn and I think I'm like a sponge and soak up everything in my path...too bad I wasn't like that as a kid....

8. What is the worst thing about you? - That's easy.... my temper...I'll just leave it at that.

10. What is the best thing that has ever happened to you? - My wonderful loving husband...

11. What is the worst thing that has ever happened to you?- When my husband got really sick and there for a while I thought I would loose him that is something I'd never want to relive again..

12. Are you an indoor or outdoor kind of person and why. - I'm an indoor person in the winter because I hate being cold and wet... But oh when it gets warm I'm outside almost everyday for most of the day I love the sun and the beauty...

14.What would you say is your biggest strength? I would say that no matter what happens in life I somehow can dig deep and find that one last bit of courage to continue on..

15. If you could change one thing about your body what would it be?- If you had asked me that 5 years ago I could have given you a whole list but I can't think of anything now...I'm good with how I am...

16. What hobbies do you have?- Cross stitching, sewing, scrapbooking, and writing...

17. Do you have kids if you do how many and what have you learned from them? - Yes I have three and I think the thing I have learned and am continuing to learn is patients....

18. If you could pick anywhere in the world to live where would it be? - New Zealand for sure...

19. What do you want to accomplish in your life? - I want to be able to be educated enough to be able to help nurture peoples body's, minds and spirits. To help them become their highest self.

20. What do you want to fulfill before you die?- I want to have installed in my children strong enough values and faith in our Heavenly Father and Savior that they will have a solid foundation for them to sand on when life gets hard and bumpy. I want to go on a mission with my husband.. I want to travel the world.. Most of all I want to be found worthy to enter my fathers presence when the time comes... If I can fulfill most of this I will have lived a good life on earth...

21. What is your favorite activity to do? - Well it involves two people who are married and in love... OH boy now my face is all red...

25. What is your favorite sport? - No question Kick boxing however I can't sand to watch it on TV I cringe to much...

26. What kind of outdoor activity do you like? - Camping, hunting, swimming, fishing, hiking etc "although I do LOVE to be able to take baths regularly"...

27. What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened too you? - UMmm Hello its embarrassing why would I share it....lol

28.What would be your all time date if money was not a factor? - Smile...I could have fun with this...Lets see I would love to have a whole island rented out for a week with no one else there except for the chef and maids... And go fishing, swimming, sleep in as late as I want and wake up when I wanted, Have movie night, go snorkeling, exploring, give each other massages etc... That would be my fantasy..Oh and go on a air balloon ride.. Always always wanted to do that..

29. What would you do with never ending funds? - I would get what we needed done and then help as many families as we could to receive a better life and have their dreams come true...

30. How does being 30 years old change your life? - I wouldn't say it changes my life but it sure does give me a whole lot more credibility with others....smile...

Emergency!

Well we had a stressful day yesterday....

Atazia decided to help me get some pictures down from a cubby hole by the stairs by getting up on a stool when she turned she lost her balance and fell.. THIS is what happened....

She was freaking out when she saw her arm (So was I although I tried to hold it together and I was very glad I hadn't ate yet or I would have lost everything) It happened about 9:15am and After frantically looking for shoes and jackets and a diaper bag we got in the car and Drove to the Montpelier hospital we got there at 9:25am! They got us right in although it took two hours before the doctor got there to set her arm.. They had to sedate her before they did it... So traumatic she was screaming for her daddy the whole time and I was fighting back tears at the same time wishing the same thing. After all said and done it was a clean break I sighed with relief... (no surgery needed) We left the hospital at noon and I took the kids out to lunch to thank them for being so good and Atazia so brave. Came home and tried to relax.

Today she is doing much better she's not in as much pain.... We are keeping the pain at bay with BF&C and Lobilia it's working just as well as Ibuprofen.

Here's some more sad news... We are moving .... Yes again for the 12th time... because of unforseen circumstances things are not working out as we had plan so we're looking for somewhere else although I think we'll still stay in Idaho there is a good feeling here better than we've gotten anywhere else we've ever lived... Thanks for all your prayers for atazia have a great day and I'll keep you posted...

Easter Sunday!!

Well it was Easter yesterday and we had the added joy of having Chad home (even though it was only for a few hours) Here are all three of my wonderful Kids in their homemade (Yes I made them except for Qwades shirt!) Easter Sunday clothes...

I made Qwade's Vest and Pants last week... The vest was easy but the pants.... well... lets just say it'll be a while before I attempt that again...smile~

Qwade Felt left out when I made the girls their clothes so He asked if I'd make him some too.. I did it was really hard but I did it!!!

The Easter bunny visited us and brought Qwade an Automatic Nerf Gun! and a CD player with head sets and a couple pieces of candy!

Here is my Princess (although it would sure be nice if she'd ever just let me do her hair all cute and girly without a huge fight...sigh...maybe one day) This is the best smile from her I could get out of literally 30 pictures... oh well...

The Easter bunny knew just what she wanted... Princess everything earrings, necklace, tea set, wand etc!!

Here is my cutie pie... She was the first one to find her basket and she loved it.. She got a bumble bee dress up stuff and necklace, dress up shoes, earrings etc...

She was as happy as could be, she's just so darn cute.....

Here's my little bumble bee.....

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend...

Help!

Ok to all those who sew! I am looking for a fun and stylish diaper bag pattern that has lots of room for all of my kids stuff like change of clothes, sippy cups, wipes, and a place to put coloring books etc.. My old diaper bag broke so I am thinking of making one to "help with my new found sewing skills" I've been looking at the stores and they all are so cheaply made and can easily rip with the vinyl covering the outer as well as inner linings of the bag! Any ideas would help.. Thanks!

P.S. Can someone explain what interfacing is.. I'm not getting the jest of it!

The Month of March has been a month of many first for me....And this last week was no exception... I have for many months had a nagging feeling that I need to learn how to sew! However I've just kept putting that feeling off because sewing has always been very intimidating and frustrating for me... But I sucked it up and decided to take the plunge! Here are my finished products what do you think did I pass for my first time ever, sewing something other than burp rags......?

My wrap around skirt!

This dress and Atazia's dresses were the first ones I did this last week because they were the easiest and that way I could learn my sewing machine...

Here is the pattern I picked out to make for the girls for their Easter dresses... They both liked the dress but wanted it longer.... so with courage and a few phone calls for help to my mother in law this is the results....

So what do you think?.... Did I pass?

First Derby!

Qwade's First Cub Scout Derby was a hit! He had so much fun sanding, shaping, painting, gluing, cutting, and putting this rocket together! He took great pains in making it as perfect as he could... I was quite proud of him.. The only thing that chad and I helped him with was the fins and fixing the propeller so it would spin right. (qwade has a problem with following directions... he thinks he already knows how everything works...lol)

Yesterday evening was the Derby at the church and this is Qwade giddy with excitement before we left.. He hopes he wins...

First we needed to twist the rubber bands they used a drill. After it was twisted he went for a trial run but it didn't go to far so we decided to twist the rubber bands by hand we did 150 turns.. Qwade did the first 80 until it got to hard for him to turn it anymore so I did the rest.

Ready get Set GO!

Qwades is the one in the back but even though it looks like he lost if you look closely his propeller is still going and it went all the way to the END! He was so happy he was jumping up and down pounding the air with his fist... Way to go Qwade high five Dude!

Qwade won 2nd place out of ten boys and when the bishop judged the rockets Qwade won most creative... (he was the only boy who did the rocket himself all the others you could so tell that their fathers or mothers painted it for them...lol)

Qwade also won wings and was on cloud 9 by the end of the night... I haven't seen him that happy in a long time... Way to go Qwade your Awesome...

Hair Cut and LIFE!

Well I gave in to my own frustration with my daughter who would scream, cry, yell and fight me everyday just to comb her hair! So what did I do.... I took her to Dollar Cuts and had them chop it off... She pouted the entire time and wouldn't talk to me for like 15min (a record)! But then when she looked in the mirror and saw how cute it was she had a half smile but said she didn't like like (ah-ha sure she doesn't she's just mad I made her get her hair cut) Her hair was long to the middle of her back but it was always in knots and she always looked like a amazon woman! I'd had enough and I'm glad we did it because even though she still fights me to comb her hair it's a lot better and easier to take care of! Besides she looks way cute!

I have proof!! When ever I tell people that our dog smiles at us all the time they just laugh and say yeah right! Well I now have proof thanks to Qwade's picture taking... Isn't that the funniest thing...
I'm so SAD.... Yesterday I drove to SLC and it was so wonderful to see NO snow only dirt, little flower poking up here and there, birds everywhere, and baby animals all of this only means one thing right! SPRING is here.. I was feeling so good because when I left my house this is what we saw on the ground Rocks and dirt! The SNOW IS MELTING finally.....
But atlas it's not to be I woke up this morning to snow covering the new found dirt it was enough to make me want to cry... Will winter never end here? sigh......
I think I'm missing longer seasons that are warm not COLD!

Firsts!

Here are some of my FIRSTS that I did last week!
BEANS.... BEANS and MORE Beans....
I have snapped, broken, washed and jarred 57lbs of Green Beans (although I had 72lb to start with I had to throw away about 15lbs of beans because they went moldy) Chad bought me a pressure cooker and a ton of wide mouth jars!

This is the finished product 62 Quarts of Green Beans..... I'm happy!
VEGTABLES and FRUIT....
Then I planted Onions, lettuce, tomatoes, corn, watermelon, and cantaloupe in these starter kits that I got from the IFA! I found out that the growing season is two weeks less than even Laketown is, and Laketown is two weeks less than SLC so that means I lose a whole month of the growing season that I'm use too. Sad.. So I'm trying to make up for it by planting some early (we'll see, I hope it works)

Guess what it's been a week later and I'm seeing GREEN! WOW they are poking through can't wait until I can plant them outside!! SMILE!
APPLES...
And then I am dehydrating Apples, Now I've dehydrated apples lots of times before but never have I had 76lbs of Apples to do! My poor dehydrater has been going nonstop now for a little over a week and I'm just barely half way through the first box! sigh...what have I got myself into!!!
I have felt great satisfaction in accomplishing all this projects... I feel domesticated... smile!
If you were wondering where I got all these Apples and Beans it's from Bountiful Baskets...

Chevy Tahoe!!

Well we finally have a 4X4 it's a 1996 Chevy Tahoe and only has 65,000 miles on it. This is the first time in 10 years we've had to buy a vehicle.... We're excited to have it! It even has a CD player (I know you may not think much of that but I haven't had a car with a CD player in it for 7 years) right now it fits our family perfect but we are going to look for a back bench so it'll fit 7 people instead of only 5. But it's really nice and the best part is we don't have a car payment! That's right we bought it with CASH! Yahoo!!!

My Favorite Part of the Whole Tahoe is that it has the double doors in the back instead of the door that lifts over you head.. SO nice not to have to worry about the door falling on the head..
